What you will do

• Architect next-generation large-scale ML techniques and define the ML strategy to enhance personalization and recommendation quality.
• Lead research on scalable ML systems and real-time model adaptation to bring cutting-edge advancements into production.
• Develop high-performance distributed training systems that scale across multiple GPUs and cloud environments.
• Optimize real-time serving architectures for large-scale embeddings to ensure low-latency inference and high throughput.
• Collaborate with Feed Ranking, Ads, Content Understanding, and Core ML teams to integrate models into key AI-driven systems.
• Mentor and guide senior and mid-level ML engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in ML engineering with a focus on large-scale recommendation or personalization systems.
• Expertise in modern deep learning architectures, including sequence and foundational models.
• Proven ability to design and optimize scalable ML architectures from distributed training to real-time inference.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, C++, or similar languages.
• Experience with A/B testing, model evaluation frameworks, and real-time feedback loops in production.
• Must be based in the United States
