Support Manager (Postgres): Leading the APAC support engineering team to ensure high-quality technical assistance and product feedback loops with an accent on technical mentorship, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration. Focus on bridging the gap between user issues and product improvements, maintaining global standards across timezones, and raising the technical bar for debugging complex database systems.

Location: Remote (Must be based in an APAC timezone)

hirify.global is an open-source Postgres development platform providing database, auth, storage, and vector capabilities for developers.

What you will do

  • Lead the APAC Support Engineering team as part of a global leadership group.
  • Maintain a hands-on approach by regularly handling tickets to stay technically sharp.
  • Collaborate with EMEA and AMER counterparts to ensure seamless global coverage and handoffs.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams to translate user signals into product fixes and features.
  • Develop playbooks and runbooks to improve the team's technical debugging capabilities.
  • Manage the end-to-end user experience, considering network, schema, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong technical foundation in Postgres, SQL, Linux, sysadmin, or backend/platform engineering.
  • Experience leading technical teams (Support, SRE, or Engineering).
  • Ability to reason about auth flows, serverless functions, and vector workloads.
  • Proficiency in operational metrics (FRT, MTR, CSAT).
  • Excellent written English skills for communicating with customers and executives.
  • Must be based in an APAC timezone.

Nice to have

  • Experience with JS/TS, Node, and frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte).
  • Experience supporting open-source projects or developer-facing products.
  • Previous experience as a software engineer or infrastructure engineer.
