Head of Project Management (PMO/Portfolio): Lead a globally distributed PMO organization delivering the strategic portfolio that powers ’s business objectives with an accent on executive reporting, portfolio governance, and value-first program delivery. Focus on shaping strategic initiatives, driving cross-team alignment, and using AI to reduce low-value work while maintaining strong human judgment.

What you will do
- Own the PMO portfolio, including the project intake process, ensuring initiatives are prioritised, sequenced, and resourced to match company strategy and capacity.
- Shape and mobilise strategic initiatives by defining early structure, scope, and execution approach for Project Managers.
- Run the executive reporting cycle, preparing C-level updates, Supervisory Board materials, and strategic portfolio communications.
- Drive AI-enabled evolution of the PMO to reduce low-value work and increase focus on strategic thinking and value creation.
- Lead and coach the Lead Program Manager and Senior Project Managers, and support growth of (Junior) Project and Operations Managers.
- Manage portfolio decision pathways, monitor portfolio-wide risks and signals, and remove blockers to execution through cross-team alignment.
Requirements
- 7+ years in Project or Program Management, including 3+ years in a people leadership role within a remote or hybrid digital environment.
- Deep generalist experience across business and technology environments, applying Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) or a relevant degree with applied governance, portfolio prioritisation, dependency management, and resource optimisation knowledge.
- Experience using AI with an innovative mindset focused on smarter ways of working and reducing low-value work while preserving human-first leadership.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong systems-thinking and executive communication skills to synthesise complex information into clear narratives for senior stakeholders.
