Senior Product Manager (Automotive)

TL;DR

Senior Product Manager (Automotive): Designing and implementing safety experiences for vehicle occupant protection with an accent on regulatory compliance, strategic roadmap development, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment. Focus on driving innovation in safety features and balancing complex consumer needs with business objectives.

Location: Hybrid role, must be able to report to Milford or Warren, Michigan at least 3 times a week.

What you will do

• Define and own the long-term product vision for in-cabin occupant protection.
• Lead cross-functional teams including Legal, Design, and Engineering to deliver intuitive safety experiences.
• Monitor safety standards and market trends to drive product roadmap execution.
• Balance consumer expectations, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
• Generate key data and metrics to inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product management or occupant protection fields.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Strong storytelling and verbal communication skills for stakeholder management.
• Proven ability to integrate vision, strategy, and technical details into cohesive narratives.
• Experience balancing tradeoffs between consumer needs and regulatory constraints.

Nice to have

• Relevant educational background such as an MBA.
• 5+ years of vehicle product management experience.
• Deep regulatory knowledge in occupant protection.
• Experience leading digital products across mobile and web platforms.
