TL;DR

Product Lifecycle Analyst (Automotive): Managing the full lifecycle of aftermarket product lines, including research, data accuracy, and new product introductions with an accent on powertrain and internal combustion engine components. Focus on competitor analysis, maintaining technical specifications, and coordinating cross-functional development programs.

Location: Must be based in Farmington Hills, MI, USA (Hybrid role).

What you will do

  • Research OE and aftermarket competitor catalogs to identify new parts and upgrades.
  • Manage all facets of the product lifecycle, including sourcing, introductions, supersessions, and recalls.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of application and product data in all publications.
  • Conduct competitor market price analysis and maintain interchange data.
  • Coordinate new product program development and establish material specifications.
  • Liaise with international engineering departments and vendors to ensure product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Automotive Technology, or Engineering required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Working knowledge of internal combustion engines and engine sealing product design.
  • Experience with engine components, sourcing, and corrective action requests.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
