What you will do

• Supervise newsroom personnel and editorial content, determining rundown stories and promotional angles.
• Manage multiplatform content distribution strategy, ensuring timely delivery across digital and broadcast channels.
• Oversee story assignments for reporters and coordinate newscast management to ensure brand identity.
• Provide leadership and coaching to producers, reinforcing editorial fundamentals and production standards.
• Collaborate with the director of multiplatform content to execute digital-exclusive projects and coverage priorities.
• Implement performance management processes to train, motivate, and develop a professional newsroom staff.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work on-site in West Hartford, CT
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of news management experience leading direct reports
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overnights (24/7 shift availability)
