What you will do

• Create live segments with reporters and guests during breaking news coverage.
• Write and produce taped news packages for Morning Joe, including developing story angles and writing scripts.
• Monitor and turn around video, graphics, and information under intense deadline pressure.
• Support the production team in the control room during breaking news events.
• Assemble and deliver taped hours compiled from existing MS NOW shows to master control.
• Collaborate with the social media team to monitor and create engaging content.

Requirements

• Must be based in New York, NY
• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to work overnight hours as part of a 4-day, 10-hour work schedule
• At least 5 years of experience in journalism (cable, network, or digital news)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
• Strong writing skills and comprehensive knowledge of American politics
