What you will do

• Execute structured appliance tests using authentic, locally sourced LATAM ingredients across all categories.
• Identify and document functional gaps where appliance performance differs from local consumer expectations.
• Develop performance KPIs and maintain an ingredient gap framework to inform engineering teams.
• Create appliance-specific recipes and product stories that resonate with regional consumer behaviors.
• Serve as the primary culinary intelligence resource for the US-based Ninja Test Kitchen.
• Lead virtual knowledge-share sessions regarding ingredients, techniques, and trends in LATAM.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional culinary or culinary development experience focusing on LATAM cuisines.
• Formal culinary training or a degree from a recognized program in Mexico or LATAM.
• Hands-on experience evaluating kitchen appliances from a functional and culinary lens.
• Bilingual professional fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• Must be based in Mexico City.
• Ability to manage workstreams independently and write structured technical test reports.

Nice to have

• Experience in R&D, test kitchens, or food product development.
• Familiarity with structured sensory evaluation (taste, texture, aroma, appearance).
• Culinary knowledge spanning multiple markets such as Brazil, Colombia, Peru, or Argentina.
• Experience collaborating with remote, cross-functional US-based teams.
• Availability to travel approximately 20% of the time.
