Business Data Analyst (SPACECOM)

TL;DR

Business Data Analyst (SPACECOM): Provide data analytics support for government customers by extracting, cleansing, analyzing, visualizing, and delivering data storytelling with an accent on SPACECOM (Finance, Logistics, Personnel, Acquisition, Contracting) data and building BI dashboards. Focus on translating business needs into report/dashboard prototypes, developing data models and metadata, and improving data acquisition, management, and governance processes under shifting priorities.

What you will do

• Gather business requirements, analyze source systems, define data sources and transformation requirements, and design data models with metadata for analysis and visualization.
• Acquire and analyze enterprise data and metrics to support dashboards and data visualizations.
• Collaborate with business areas and project teams to elicit, identify, prioritize, and document BI and visualization requirements.
• Act as a functional and technical subject matter expert for data visualization and business intelligence.
• Use BI tools to turn dashboard requirements into deliverable solutions; document data acquisition, management, and governance processes.
• Create training materials and deliver group and one-on-one training sessions for end users.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required; H1-B visas and other visas are not being sponsored.
• Minimum 10 years of government acquisition, finance/financial management, program management, or related experience within a Department of War organization.
• Experience with BI and self-service data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, or Qlik View.
• Experience with contracting datasets such as FPDS-NG, SAM.gov, PIEE, ConWrite, CON-IT, EDA, or WAWF (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, computer science, mathematics, accounting, economics, or related field; or 15+ years of relevant experience in lieu of education.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance after a federal background investigation.
