What you will do

• Own the end-to-end monthly Colombian payroll cycle in partnership with a BPO provider, ensuring accuracy and deadline accountability.
• Ensure full statutory compliance including PILA submissions, DIAN reporting, and management of social security systems.
• Manage the data interface between UKG HRIS, the BPO provider, and Finance for all employee lifecycle changes.
• Develop and maintain audit-ready SOPs, payroll calendars, and control matrices for the new Colombian entity.
• Oversee the payroll transition from an EOR (Remoti) to hirify.global Colombia SAS.
• Coordinate treasury funding and prepare journal entries and accruals in collaboration with Finance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Colombian payroll experience, primarily within tech, fintech, or SaaS environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
• Deep expertise in Colombian labor law and statutory requirements (cesantías, prima, parafiscales).
• Proven experience coordinating with outsourced BPO payroll providers.
• English: C1/Fluent business level required for daily communication with US stakeholders.
• Location: Must be based in Colombia.
• Proficiency with HRIS tools (UKG, Workday, or similar) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools (Claude or equivalent) for productivity and research.

Nice to have

• Experience leading payroll transitions, BPO implementations, or EOR exits.
• Familiarity with Payoneer or USD-denominated contractor payment rails.
• Native Spanish proficiency.
• Background in publicly listed or pre-IPO fintech companies with SOX-adjacent control experience.
