Water Resources and Stormwater Engineer

TL;DR

Water Resources and Stormwater Engineer (Stormwater Planning & Design): Lead stormwater planning and design projects, including modeling, flood mitigation improvements, green infrastructure measures, and erosion/sediment control with an accent on regulatory permitting and condition assessment of water assets. Focus on executing water resources services as a Project Manager while driving client relationships and business development across Florida.

What you will do

• Lead execution of water resources projects covering stormwater improvements, detention/retention facilities, and sewer system planning/design.
• Plan and/or design green infrastructure and sustainable watershed measures, including structural BMPs.
• Plan and/or design flood mitigation improvements (dams, levees, reservoirs, pump stations) and erosion/sediment control (SWPPP development).
• Support regulatory compliance and permitting efforts for USACE, FEMA, and other environmental permit submittals.
• Provide business development leadership, build client relationships, and act as Project Manager for the services delivered.
• Provide technical mentorship and support growth of the broader Planning business (water supply, water/wastewater masterplans, asset management, condition assessment).

Requirements

• 11+ years of water resources planning and design experience.
• Experience developing and executing water resource planning and design projects.
• Proficiency with one or more of: HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA/XP-SWMM, InfoWorks, EFDC, CFD, ArcGIS, and asset management/CMMS systems (e.g., Cityworks, Lucity).
• Experience with regulatory requirements and procedures.
• Active engineering registration/licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries.
• Full-time role; hybrid work can be offered after the first 90 days, with majority of work office-based and some site visits required.
