Senior Consulting Engineer (AMER)

TL;DR

Senior Consulting Engineer (AMER): Provide consultative support and project engineering for hirify.global enterprise customers, with an accent on DBMS/OLAP architecture, integration, migration, and performance validation. Focus on hands-on technical oversight across customer projects and L1–L3 support cases, plus documentation and collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Sales.

What you will do

• Deliver project engineering and consulting (50%): design, architecture, integration, implementation, documentation, benchmarking, sizing, migration, and performance/functional testing.
• Provide consultative support (50%): assist strategic users, customers, and prospects with onboarding, implementation, production launches, and POCs.
• Handle architectural, technical, and migration assistance with hands-on tasks.
• Support L1–L3 cases and communications when not assigned to customer projects.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales on product roadmap input and account plans.
• Contribute to public/internal documentation and knowledge base content; assist with hiring and mentoring.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the United States
• 5+ years of experience in Professional Services, Support, Technical Accounts Management, Engineering/SRE, and/or Project Management.
• 5+ years of experience implementing, operating, and/or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed DBMS.
• Strong technical breadth: DBMS, OLAP, cloud/SaaS, distributed systems, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, and system/network administration.
• Experience leading and shipping large-scope technical projects with multiple experienced engineers.
• Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and its infrastructure-as-a-service offerings (e.g., EC2).

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global.
• Experience with open-source technologies (as a user/community member/contributor).
• Experience with data pipelines such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, or RabbitMQ.
