PeopleSoft Solutions Architect (ERP): Leading architecture, strategy, and delivery oversight for the CAPPS enterprise ERP program with an accent on solution design, product roadmaps, and modernization initiatives. Focus on aligning business goals with technical execution, managing vendor delivery, and ensuring scalability and security across multi-agency environments.

Location: Remote (Continental United States). Mandatory Day 1 onsite and occasional travel to Austin, Texas required. May transition to hybrid (up to 3 days onsite).

What you will do

• Define and evolve long-term product and platform strategies aligned with state objectives.
• Review and approve solution designs to ensure consistency, reusability, and security standards.
• Partner with managed services vendors to oversee technical delivery, SLAs, and quality.
• Lead architecture for CAPPS Financials, HR/Payroll, and related PeopleSoft systems.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to communicate architecture decisions and roadmaps.
• Oversee audit readiness, compliance, and WCAG 2.1 accessibility requirements.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience supporting Texas state government systems and CAPPS support.
• 12+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture and strategic roadmap management.
• Deep expertise in PeopleSoft FSCM or HCM, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, SQL, and Oracle.
• 10+ years of experience presenting to executive stakeholders and leading technical projects.
• Experience managing vendor contracts and outsourced technical teams.
• Knowledge of ITIL-based service operations and segregation of duties in multi-tenant systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with CPA legacy financial systems.
• Knowledge of enterprise modernization and infrastructure standards.
• Experience developing technical specifications for procurements.
