What you will do

• Plan and engineer aerial and underground fiber optic networks for utility sites.
• Design and optimize point-to-point microwave radio links including path surveys and link budgets.
• Oversee permitting and right-of-way processes in compliance with NESC standards.
• Design telecommunications facilities including towers, shelters, and power solutions.
• Create detailed engineering design packages, construction drawings, and equipment layouts.
• Utilize CAD and GIS software to produce route maps and site diagrams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in OSP fiber optic network design and microwave system engineering.
• Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, GE Smallworld) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation).
• Solid understanding of IP networking, packet-based transport (MPLS), and TDM systems.
• Knowledge of industry standards including NESC, NEC, and Telcordia.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
