TL;DR

Lead Enterprise Architect (ERP): Leading enterprise strategy, architecture governance, and operational oversight for the CAPPS ERP program with an accent on long-term technology direction and multi-agency alignment. Focus on designing strategic roadmaps, overseeing PeopleSoft upgrades, and managing large-scale technical operations.

Location: Remote (Continental United States) with mandatory Day 1 onsite in Austin, Texas; may shift to hybrid (up to 3 days onsite) and requires occasional travel.

What you will do

  • Define and drive enterprise technology roadmaps across systems, data, and platforms to align with business goals and cloud strategy.
  • Lead CAPPS Technology Operations and act as the primary escalation point for complex system challenges.
  • Oversee CAPPS Financials, HR/Payroll, and PeopleSoft upgrades to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Manage managed services vendors and ensure SLA compliance and technical governance.
  • Direct ITIL-based service desk operations and incident management processes.
  • Ensure adherence to WCAG accessibility, security, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of experience supporting Texas state government systems and enterprise architecture.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting CAPPS ERP programs and managing vendor contracts.
  • 10+ years of experience with PeopleSoft (FSCM/HCM), SQL, and Oracle.
  • 10+ years leading technical teams and managed service providers.
  • Proven expertise in ITIL service operations, SDLC, and security practices.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills for high-level stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with CPA legacy statewide systems.
  • Expertise in enterprise infrastructure management best practices.
  • Experience supporting technical procurement initiatives.
