Senior DevOps Engineer (Voice)

TL;DR

Senior DevOps Engineer (Voice): Building and maintaining Linux-based cloud communications infrastructure with an accent on automation, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring. Location: Hybrid (United Kingdom). Must be able to occasionally visit the Bristol or London offices.

What you will do

• Collaborate with development teams to deploy and maintain application infrastructure.
• Develop and support tooling to streamline product deployment and maintenance.
• Manage application lifecycles across environments using GitHub, Jenkins, and Chef.
• Build and manage automation pipelines for application deployment.
• Perform day-to-day management of Linux servers via the command line.
• Create monitoring dashboards and alerts using Grafana, Prometheus, and Alertmanager.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or a related field.
• Strong Linux OS knowledge and proficiency with the command line.
• Experience with Chef or other configuration management tools for server automation.
• Ability to design and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of networking principles (DNS, TCP/UDP, firewalls, load balancers).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, Python, or Go.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm templating.
• Knowledge of real-time voice/video protocols like SIP and RTP.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, MySQL, and Ansible.
