What you will do

• Lead the delivery of multiple weekly and monthly payrolls across a complex organizational structure.
• Ensure full compliance with payroll legislation, statutory reporting, and HMRC regulations.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Payroll Seniors and Advisors.
• Drive process improvements, controls, and efficiencies within the payroll function.
• Support payroll-related projects, including acquisitions, integrations, and organizational change.
• Review and reconcile FPS submissions and payroll data.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience leading and developing payroll teams.
• Proven experience managing payroll operations across multiple entities or business units.
• Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, HMRC processes, and statutory compliance.
• Experience with IR35, salary sacrifice schemes, and taxable benefits administration.
• CIPP Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum.
• Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous approach to auditing and reconciliation.

Nice to have

• Previous involvement in acquisitions, TUPE transfers, or business integrations.
• Exposure to payroll and HR systems implementation projects.
• Experience with IRIS Cascade or similar payroll systems.
