TL;DR

Payroll Process Expert (EMEA): Driving innovation and continuous improvement in payroll processes across the EMEA region with an accent on process design, system integration, and automation. Focus on leveraging AI technologies to streamline workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to build scalable payroll solutions.

Location: Hybrid role based in Colchester, UK; requires in-office attendance at least three days per week.

What you will do

  • Lead the design and implementation of modern, scalable payroll processes.
  • Identify and integrate AI and automation technologies to reduce manual payroll workflows.
  • Support strategic payroll projects, including system implementations and M&A integrations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams to ensure payroll requirements are met.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and GDPR.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in payroll operations within a complex, multi-country organization.
  • Strong knowledge of EMEA payroll legislation, HMRC regulations, and GDPR.
  • Proven ability to act as a payroll subject matter expert and stakeholder advisor.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUP and data analysis.
  • Experience in process improvement and leveraging automation technologies.
  • Must be able to work from the office in Colchester, UK, at least three days per week.

Nice to have

  • Experience with payroll system administration and process automation.
  • Familiarity with shared services environments.
  • Professional payroll qualifications such as CIPP.
  • Project management experience supporting strategic initiatives.
