What you will do

• Develop and embed data governance processes, frameworks, and expertise to serve as the foundation for SHV Holdings’ businesses.
• Consult with subsidiaries to align their local governance initiatives with group-wide methodologies.
• Operationalize data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
• Conduct governance maturity assessments, gap analyses, and create tailored strategic roadmaps.
• Facilitate Data Governance Councils and oversee data quality audits with remediation recommendations.
• Lead workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder engagement programs across multiple business entities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in data governance/data management, including 3+ years in senior or consulting roles within multi-entity organizations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or Business Administration.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead change management across multiple businesses.
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Advanced analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking focused on risk identification.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Porto, Portugal.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as DAMA CDMP, CIPP, or equivalent.
• Expertise in data modeling, architecture, and Master Data Management (MDM).
• Hands-on experience with tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or IBM InfoSphere.
• Proficiency with SQL, data integration platforms, and BI reporting tools.
