What you will do

• Design and develop algorithms to transform raw geospatial data into actionable intelligence.
• Work with one of the largest traffic data streams worldwide to improve mobility systems.
• Own the full software project lifecycle from research to production implementation.
• Support and enhance production environments to ensure operational excellence.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers and product managers.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work hybrid in Gent, Belgium with office presence two days per week
• University degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing production-grade code with Java and Python.
• Proven experience solving business problems using ML solutions such as Computer Vision and classic ML algorithms.
• Strong software engineering skills in both greenfield and existing systems.
• English: Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Nice to have

• Experience handling large volumes of geospatial data.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud platforms like Azure.
• Experience with Big Data pipelines such as Spark and Kafka.
