TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (EdTech): Building and scaling student success platforms with an accent on fullstack development, system integration, and AI-driven analytics. Location: Hybrid in San Mateo, California, or remote within the US.

Salary: $185,000 – $235,000 + Equity

What you will do

  • Lead impactful projects from initial scoping through to production release.
  • Maintain high standards for testing, security, and accessibility across the codebase.
  • Partner with Product and Design teams to solve complex user problems.
  • Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to engineering initiatives focused on scalability and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong fundamentals in both front-end and back-end development.
  • Experience shipping production software in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
  • Proven track record of taking projects from idea to outcome with full ownership.
  • Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Python, Django, React, or Angular.
  • Familiarity with AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working with AI-driven capabilities or complex data integrations.
