What you will do

• Develop and employ formal languages and models to describe intended software and system behaviors.
• Leverage third-party or build in-house tools to generate formal design and validation tests.
• Implement and integrate tools to verify that software systems behave as intended.
• Integrate analysis and verification into existing processes, workflows, and infrastructure.
• Lead systems engineering activities essential for the launch of safety-critical software on autonomous vehicles.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace, or related fields.
• 7+ years of professional experience.
• Strong background in formal methods, logic, formal languages, automata theory, and model checking.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ for real-time safety-critical applications.
• Must be based in or able to work in Foster City, CA (Hybrid)

Nice to have

• Contributions to formal methods research or implementations.
• Experience shipping software for production automobiles, aircraft, or spacecraft.
• Knowledge of safety standards such as ISO26262, DO178, SPICE, ASPICE, ISO12207, or IEC61508.
