TL;DR

Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++): Designing and delivering IO processing and on-board diagnostics software for NPI programs with an accent on minimizing product downtime and implementing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). Focus on developing electronic control systems, optimizing system performance through debugging, and ensuring compatibility of input/output components.

Location: Must work full-time at the Mossville, IL office. Domestic relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are available.

Salary: $97,530.00 - $146,290.00

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and enhance system diagnostics software and detailed software specifications based on customer requirements.
  • Implement electronic control systems and on-board diagnostic strategies to ensure hardware compatibility and determine failure modes.
  • Test and debug embedded system software to improve code quality and optimize system performance.
  • Identify and resolve software defects through proper issue list management.
  • Collaborate with global teams across multiple organizations to drive results and resolve complex issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in embedded programming languages (C or C++) and Matlab/Simulink.
  • Strong foundation in system software development, including validation of embedded systems and diagnostics.
  • Experience in requirements analysis, technical troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team and share knowledge proactively.
