What you will do

• Oversee monthly financial statements and ensure strict accordance with ASPE standards.
• Execute complex reconciliations, journal entries, and precise SaaS revenue recognition.
• Develop sophisticated KPI dashboards and refine dynamic financial models for strategic decision-making.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with department leadership.
• Optimize accounting workflows by integrating AI tools and LLMs to enhance operational efficiency.
• Support annual audits, regulatory tax filings, and maintain robust internal controls.

Requirements

• CPA designation is required.
• 3-5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, FP&A, or corporate accounting.
• Must be based in Canada.
• Strong understanding of ASPE accounting standards and operational finance.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Foundational understanding of AI and LLMs (e.g., Google Gemini) and a desire to innovate.

Nice to have

• Experience at a Big Four accounting firm or in public accounting.
• Experience in SaaS or software/technology environments.
• Prior experience coordinating annual budgeting and variance analysis with department leaders.
