TL;DR
Staff Software Engineer (Backend, IAM): Developing and architecting identity access management solutions and SaaS services with an accent on security, cloud-native infrastructure, and automation. Focus on designing secure APIs, integrating security into CI/CD pipelines, and serving as a subject matter expert for identity strategy.
Location: Hybrid role requiring on-site presence at least 3 times a week in Austin, TX, Mountain View, CA, or Warren, MI.

What you will do
- Design and develop security-focused software solutions, tools, and automation frameworks.
- Integrate security protocols into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native environments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to embed security into system architecture.
- Conduct code reviews and threat modeling to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Build and maintain systems for monitoring, logging, and alerting on security events.
- Develop and maintain APIs and microservices supporting security operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or C++.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model at specified US locations.
Nice to have
- Experience with IAM products like EntraID or SailPoint.
- Exposure to partner collaboration and external identity architectures.
- Experience with Databricks or Microsoft/Google cloud products.
- Experience with CASB security integrations.
- Experience with front-end application development.
