What you will do

• Produce daily newscast rundowns and line-produce live broadcasts from the control room.
• Respond to breaking news with urgency while maintaining accuracy and editorial balance.
• Collaborate with reporters, producers, and management on story planning and development.
• Integrate digital and streaming media strategies into traditional broadcast content.
• Write news scripts for multiple platforms and contribute to daily coverage decisions.
• Optimize resources through close coordination with NBC Chicago news teams.

Requirements

• Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is required.
• Must be willing to work on-site in Chicago, IL.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization for the United States.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a newsroom producer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent experience.
• Must be willing to join the NABET union.
• Flexible schedule availability including weekends, overnights, and holidays.
