What you will do

• Lead the Internal Audit function as the third line of defense for the Bank's international holdings in the UK and US.
• Develop and deliver the annual Audit Risk Assessment and Internal Audit plan aligned with regulatory expectations.
• Provide independent assurance to the Board and Audit Committee regarding the effectiveness of governance and internal controls.
• Oversee risk-based audits focusing on credit (SME lending), technology platforms, AI models, data governance, and cyber security.
• Manage relationships with co-sourced or outsourced internal audit providers and specialists.
• Ensure compliance with PRA, FCA, Federal Reserve, and NYDFS regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

• Significant senior leadership experience in internal audit within banking or financial services.
• Deep understanding of UK banking regulation, specifically PRA/FCA expectations and SYSC requirements.
• Proven experience delivering risk-based audit programs across credit, operational, and technology risk areas.
• Familiarity with AI governance, model risk management, and technology risk frameworks.
• Experience managing co-sourced audit relationships and external specialists.
• Strong communication skills for presenting findings to Board-level committees.
