What you will do

• Develop and execute a U.S.-focused external relations strategy to enhance brand reputation and market presence.
• Drive media relations by crafting narratives and building relationships with journalists covering the edtech industry.
• Oversee crisis communication and reputation management to protect the company’s image during challenging events.
• Lead thought leadership initiatives, including content creation, speaking engagements, and industry conference participation.
• Partner with the Government Relations team to engage with federal, state, and local agencies on education policy and funding.
• Manage external agency partners and oversee the team responsible for brand social media accounts.

Requirements

• Must be based in the U.S.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, political science, or business (Master’s degree strongly preferred).
• At least 10 years of experience in public relations, external communications, or government relations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
• In-depth understanding of the U.S. education system and edtech landscape.
• Proven track record in managing media relations and public affairs campaigns.

Nice to have

• Experience in the U.S. education or education technology sectors.
• MBA or MPA degree.
