VP Engineering (Fintech): Leading the end-to-end engineering transformation of a wealth management platform with an accent on AI-native development and organizational scaling. Location: Hybrid (Europe), with mandatory in-person meetings in Paris six times a year. Must be based in or ready to relocate to France.
Salary: €150,000 – €180,000 + meaningful equity

What you will do
- Own engineering end-to-end, including people management, architecture, hiring, delivery, and quality across all squads.
- Transform the organization into an AI-native entity, targeting 3 to 5x output per engineer through AI-driven code, tests, and deploys.
- Ship AI-powered features, including autonomous agents and personalized financial guidance.
- Set the 10-year technical vision and grow the company's engineering brand to attract top-tier talent.
- Lead and mentor a team of 30 engineers across web, mobile, and backend disciplines.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading an AI-native transformation in an organization of 20+ engineers with measurable results.
- Experience scaling engineering teams to 30+ within a high-growth startup environment.
- Strong backend technical expertise and the ability to remain hands-on (e.g., coding the first AI agent).
- Deep personal and professional fluency in AI tools and workflows.
- Strong track record of building and attracting A-player engineering teams.
- Must be based in or ready to relocate to France.

- Experience working within fintech or other trust-heavy product domains.
- Background as a founder, co-founder, or the first technical hire at a successfully scaled startup.
