What you will do

• Own system safety architecture, hazard analysis, and safety case development.
• Define, manage, and verify safety and reliability requirements in compliance with defence and aerospace standards.
• Lead safety-focused system analysis, including FMEA, performance impact studies, and behavioural modelling.
• Produce high-quality safety reports and assurance documentation for stakeholders.
• Partner with engineering teams, programme management, and suppliers to embed safety from concept to deployment.
• Drive the adoption of industry best practices and continuous improvement in engineering processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Electronics, or a similar field.
• Strong background in defence or aerospace industries.
• Significant experience in safety-critical systems, preferably involving missile, weapon, or air defence technologies.
• Proficiency in system safety methods such as FMEA, FTA, and FHA.
• Experience with safety/reliability tools like Isograph Availability Workbench.
• Willingness to undergo a background check as a condition of employment.

Nice to have

• Advanced safety qualifications.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
