TL;DR

Focus on delivering complex propulsion hardware, overseeing thermo-mechanical and fatigue analysis, and coordinating cross-functional manufacturing and test campaigns.

What you will do

  • Develop the technological roadmap for engine structures and piping hardware.
  • Oversee structural analysis, including thermo-mechanical, thermal, dynamic, and fatigue assessments.
  • Define engine dynamic behavior and ensure compliance with subsystem requirements through test data analysis.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and DFMA teams to translate designs into flight-ready hardware.
  • Lead, coach, and manage the Integrated Engine Design team, including recruitment and career development.
  • Manage development schedules, work packages, and financial planning for hardware and testing.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
  • 4+ years of experience in rocket engine development.
  • Expertise in cryogenic propulsion systems and complete engine assembly.
  • Strong background in structural design, development, and testing of propulsion hardware.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proven ability to manage risk and adapt in dynamic environments.

Nice to have

  • German language skills.
  • Experience with ANSYS, Siemens SimCenter, NX, and PLM software.
