TL;DR

What you will do

• Implement and maintain the Global Safety Management System (SMS) across multiple sites.
• Identify hazards and lead risk assessment and mitigation activities.
• Manage feedback systems to resolve safety deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Support the achievement of Safety Performance Targets (SPTs) through strategic safety initiatives.
• Deliver safety training and mentor personnel across various training centers.
• Conduct annual safety audits to ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Professional aviation background in flight operations, training, safety, engineering, or compliance.
• Demonstrated experience applying structured safety and risk concepts (hazard ID, mitigation) in operational settings.
• Ability to work on-site (minimum 3 days/week) in Amsterdam or Madrid.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and coach leaders.
• Professional level written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with SMS specifically within aviation or safety-critical industries.
• Experience in simulator/training center operations (FSTD environment).
• Background in supporting safety audits, investigations, or corrective action planning.
• Proficiency in additional European languages.
