What you will do

• Write highly fault-tolerant Java code within Apache Spark to produce platform products for querying event pipelines and generating insight into active threat trends.
• Design, develop, and maintain ultra-high-scale data platforms processing petabytes of data.
• Participate in technical reviews to improve stability and deliver new features.
• Improve efficiency and reduce latency of high-performance services.
• Research and implement ways for internal stakeholders and customers to query data efficiently and retrieve results in desired formats.

Requirements

• 10+ years of combined experience across backend/cloud development and data platform engineering.
• 5+ years building data platform products/features with Apache Spark, Flink, or Iceberg (or comparable tools in GCP).
• 5+ years programming with Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
• Proven end-to-end ownership of robust feature/product design, especially with vague problem statements or loose specs.
• Expertise in algorithms, distributed systems design, and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with large-scale data/event pipelines and relational SQL + NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres/MySQL, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
