Senior Application Developer (Azure)

Location: Hybrid, approximately three days per week at the East Aurora, NY facility; position location listed as Buffalo, NY.

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, develop, operate, and maintain enterprise applications across Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments using .NET, C#, MVC, Blazor, Java, Struts 2, and Spring.
• Perform code analysis, refactoring, modernization, and AI-assisted software delivery improvements focused on maintainability, test coverage, performance, and security.
• Design data schemas and controlled production updates, orchestrate migrations, maintain data integrity, minimize downtime, and ensure auditability across Azure and on-premises data platforms.
• Implement DevOps and cloud automation, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, certificate and secret lifecycle management, and secure-by-design practices.
• Provide production support for time-sensitive, business-critical systems, troubleshoot cloud-to-on-premises patterns, and participate in on-call or escalation rotations.
• Collaborate with distributed development teams, product owners, enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Azure, including Functions, APIs, messaging, and data services.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including C#, .NET, Python, or similar technologies.
• Experience building or supporting distributed, cloud-based applications.
• Comfort working in Agile and DevOps environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architectures.
• Exposure to AI/ML integration or MLOps concepts.
• Manufacturing or industrial systems experience.
