What you will do

• Conduct static and fatigue stress analysis for gearboxes, actuators, and transmission shafts.
• Prepare detailed stress reports and calculations to support component and assembly drawings.
• Review test specifications and results, including QTP, QTR, and ATP documentation.
• Support development departments by defining loading cycles and conducting failure investigations.
• Collaborate with peers and management to share technical knowledge and analysis methods.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and contribute to non-conformance reviews.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Wolverhampton, UK.
• Must hold or be able to obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.
• Minimum of five years of experience in aerospace stress analysis or complex mechanical components.
• Proficiency in hand calculations is essential.
• Experience with FEA software, preferably ANSYS.
• Strong understanding of aerospace materials and manufacturing process influences on strength.

Nice to have

• Competence in Mathcad.
• CAD experience using SolidWorks or Unigraphics NX.
• Knowledge of MRB/Non-conformance processes.
