What you will do

• Develop and implement lean manufacturing processes for precision components.
• Create complex machining programs using CAD/CAM tools like Siemens NX or Partmaker.
• Design fixtures and select cutting tools to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Support APQP activities including DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design improvements.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians in tooling and gauging.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Tewkesbury, UK.
• Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Extensive experience with star sliding head lathes.
• Proven CNC programming expertise using 3D CAD/CAM.
• Strong knowledge of DFM, DFSS, APQP, and Lean methodologies.
• Experience in aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with advanced processes such as EDM, honing, lapping, and grinding.
• Proficiency with Vericut and Siemens NX10.0.
