DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; hybrid work required

Salary: CAD $100,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve the DevOps platform supporting product and service delivery.
• Administer Jenkins, GitLab, JFrog, and Chef, including user management, backups, upgrades, and architecture activities.
• Develop automation frameworks and scripts for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and deployments.
• Establish best practices for configuration management, release processes, monitoring, observability, and secure software delivery.
• Support global-scale systems using modern networking, distributed architectures, containers, and microservices.
• Collaborate with development and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable implementations and continuous improvements.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience with DevOps toolsets.
• Hands-on administration experience with Jenkins, GitLab, JFrog, and Chef.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, configuration management, monitoring, and Docker.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes proficiency and experience with multiple cloud providers, including Azure or GCP.
• Cloud and DevOps certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer, CKA, or Terraform Associate.
• Familiarity with advanced networking, master/slave architectures, and modern design patterns.
