Technical Lead - Infrastructure (Crypto)

Location: Full-time onsite in the New York City or Toronto office; on-call rotation from 8:00am–4:00pm ET.

Base salary: $200,000–$240,000 USD annually, plus equity, annual performance bonus, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a small team of infrastructure engineers through coaching, feedback, career development, and hiring.
• Stay hands-on by pairing on complex problems, reviewing designs and code, delivering infrastructure initiatives, and improving automation.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, lead production incident response, and drive postmortems and follow-up work.
• Build and execute the infrastructure roadmap with the Head of Infrastructure, translating long-term goals into shippable milestones.
• Own reliability, resiliency, and uptime KPIs while identifying infrastructure risks, requirements, and cloud cost opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and product teams and facilitate documentation and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering with complex, high-stakes production systems.
• 2+ years leading engineers with responsibility for 1:1s, feedback, and performance conversations.
• Extensive production experience securing and scaling Kubernetes with ArgoCD, GitOps, Grafana, and advanced Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or another major public cloud, strong Linux administration, and networking fundamentals.
• Programming experience in at least one high-level language, preferably Go, plus strong Bash scripting.
• Experience with databases, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, on-call operations, incident response, project management, and cross-team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Security operations, vulnerability management, compliance frameworks, and audit lifecycle experience.
• Cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, and deep observability experience with Prometheus, Alertmanager, Loki, or ELK.
• Experience hiring engineers or delivering internal tools and automation.
• Blockchain or crypto infrastructure experience, including running nodes or validators.
• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
