What you will do

• Manage on-site delivery of the UDX Construction Safety Program and conduct regular site inspections and audits.
• Act as the primary interface between HSE, project teams, and contractors to ensure safe execution of construction activities.
• Review and challenge risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work for high-risk operations.
• Provide construction-focused safety input during design, planning, and build phases to eliminate or reduce hazards.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Validate Health & Safety files and support closeout activities to ensure compliance with CDM requirements.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Bedford, United Kingdom.
• Associate degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Strong knowledge of UK construction safety legislation including CDM, HASAWA, and the Building Safety Act 2022.
• Understanding of contractor management, high-risk construction activities, and permit-to-work systems.
• Familiarity with CDM stakeholder responsibilities for Principal Contractors and Principal Designers.
