What you will do
- Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team responsible for post-silicon bring-up, characterization, and compliance testing.
- Define and own the overall validation strategy, methodology, and test plans from A0 silicon through production release.
- Oversee compliance and interoperability testing against industry standards like IEEE 802.3 and PCIe Gen 5/6.
- Partner with design, firmware, and system engineering teams to resolve silicon issues and drive product quality.
- Develop lab automation infrastructure and test frameworks for high-throughput characterization.
- Manage resource planning, headcount, and budget while providing technical mentorship to the team.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.
- 15+ years of experience in semiconductor silicon validation or hardware design.
- 5+ years of people management experience leading high-performing engineering teams.
- Deep technical expertise in high-speed PHY validation (SerDes, Ethernet, PCIe).
- Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, BERTs, spectrum analyzers).
- Proficiency in scripting and test automation using Python or MATLAB.
Nice to have
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
- Knowledge of DSP algorithms and firmware for high-speed transceivers.
- Prior experience in a Director-level role within a semiconductor company.
