What you will do

• Model and simulate complex systems including high-speed analog components and opto-electronic devices.
• Analyze fiber impairments and develop DSP algorithms for calibration, equalization, and carrier recovery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement advanced communication blocks in CMOS.
• Support the bring-up, validation, and debugging of advanced communication chips.
• Design experiments to collect data for defining next-generation DSP architectures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE with 10-15 years of experience, or Master’s/PhD with 5-10 years of experience.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.
• Strong background in digital signal processing and digital communications.
• Proficiency in Matlab, Python, C, or C++ within a Unix environment.
• Experience debugging complex analog issues to improve system performance.

Nice to have

• Background in optical systems, optical components, and silicon photonic integration.
• Knowledge of digital design of DSP blocks.
