Java Developer (Capital Markets)

What you will do

• Design, configure, customize, and implement client solutions using Java custom code, messaging, and reporting templates.
• Install and configure Java runtimes, relational databases, data models, upgrade scripts, event-driven frameworks, and real-time market-data feeds.
• Develop prototypes and integrations with business analysts, core development, customer developers, and the Calypso Cloud team.
• Test implementations with customers, support requirements validation and signoff, and drive solutions toward go-live.
• Train users and customer developers on system usage, technical setup, APIs, and extensions.
• Provide technical input to sales and contribute to delivery best practices, documentation, presentations, and certifications.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in systems or technical analysis, preferably in capital markets or financial software.
• Professional experience with Java, REST APIs, RMI, J2EE, Spring Boot, Docker, and containers.
• Strong object-oriented analysis, design, and development skills.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
• Business-level English is required.
• Autonomous, proactive, organized, and comfortable working directly with customers, training users, and travelling frequently when needed.

Nice to have

• Experience designing or building front-to-back capital-markets trading systems.
