TL;DR

Product Engineer (Rotational Program): Engaging in a multi-year rotational program across various technical departments to build foundational skills in product development and engineering with an accent on design leadership and innovation. Focus on researching product criteria, applying problem-solving skills to manufacturing challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable product solutions.

Location: Must be based in Holland, MI (Design Yard)

What you will do

  • Complete three 12-month rotations across departments like Custom Product Engineering, Advanced Innovation, and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Research and define product requirements, including performance, cost targets, and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with Industrial Designers to implement design visions and objectives.
  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Evaluate and test prototypes against project objectives and performance requirements.
  • Work with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to optimize tooling, assembly processes, and product reliability.

Requirements

  • Engineering or technical degree from an accredited program.
  • Zero to two years of professional engineering experience or relevant internship/co-op.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, specifically Creo or equivalent.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply engineering expertise to complex challenges.
  • Effective communication skills for partnering with production, engineering, and management teams.
