What you will do

• Support design engineers with component research and alternate sourcing to meet performance, pricing, availability, and volume production needs.
• Monitor component lifecycles, resolve lifecycle issues, and recommend substitutes for NPI and sustaining products.
• Provide risk ratings in Agile based on single/multi-sourcing, lifecycle and quality issues, and component availability for volume production.
• Review and compare component datasheets to assess impacts of voltage/timing specifications, software differences, and manufacturing compatibility.
• Administer ECO, MCO, and PCN in Agile and track progress from initiation to released state.
• Use Creo 3D CAD to draw parts and provide critical functional dimensions for sourcing.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering plus 10 years’ experience.
• Experience sourcing components and mechanical design of computer/network equipment for data center environments.
• Expertise in PLM and change order management processes, including PCN, ECO, BOM, and Deviation.
• Knowledge of international and domestic agency requirements such as RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, Safety, and EMI/EMC.
• Ability to administer and track ECO/MCO/PCN in Agile.
• Ability to use Creo 3D CAD to produce sourceable part drawings and functional dimensions.
