What you will do

• Serve as the technical lead and first line of escalation for the squad's services and components.
• Translate product objectives into sound technical designs and decompose epics into implementable stories.
• Design and implement complex features, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
• Drive technical leadership across backend, frontend, QE, and platform concerns to ensure balanced decisions.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, and observability strategies including SLOs and alerting.
• Mentor team members through pairing, code reviews, and architecture discussions.

Requirements

• Around 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering contributing to complex production systems.
• Demonstrated depth in Big Data engineering with proficiency in Databricks, Spark, EMR, OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or Neo4j.
• Proficiency in one or more languages such as Java/JVM, Python, or Scala.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Lean practices, including backlog refinement and risk-aware planning.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including data modelling and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and cloud fundamentals.
