What you will do

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing and reporting processes.
• Identify, design, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and resolve bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including program accounting, reinsurance, actuarial, and IT.
• Serve as the primary accounting-to-IT liaison for insurance systems and testing.
• Review complex journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure audit compliance.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the accounting team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• US Work Authorization required (no visa sponsorship).
• Strong proficiency in Excel and computer systems.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills for senior leadership reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
