Senior Accountant

TL;DR

Senior Accountant (Finance): Managing general ledger functions and month-end close processes for multiple healthcare locations with an accent on balance sheet analysis and financial reporting accuracy. Focus on ensuring GAAP compliance, maintaining SOX controls, and investigating financial variances to support operational decision-making.

Location: Hybrid in Draper, UT (must be on-site at the Service Center in Cottonwood Heights, UT at least 3 days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

What you will do

• Execute general ledger month-end close processes for 10-12 locations.
• Prepare and review journal entries, operating statements, and account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and compare actuals against historical trends.
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriate coding.
• Maintain and monitor SOX controls across centers.
• Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 1-4+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Must be based in or able to commute to the Draper/Cottonwood Heights, UT area for hybrid work.
• CPA license or active CPA candidacy.
• Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in GAAP.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure during peak financial periods.

Nice to have

• Experience with Sage accounting software.

• Previous experience in the skilled nursing or healthcare industry.
