TL;DR

Renewals Manager (SaaS): Managing a high-velocity book of renewal business across SMB and mid-market segments with an accent on retention strategy, forecasting accuracy, and commercial negotiations. Focus on driving net revenue retention (NRR), minimizing churn, and collaborating cross-functionally to scale renewal processes.

Location: Must be based in Austin, TX and able to work on-site 3 days/week

Salary: $105,000 base

What you will do

  • Manage a portfolio of renewal opportunities for SMB and mid-market accounts.
  • Partner with Customer Success and Sales teams to identify at-risk accounts and develop retention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate renewal forecasting and opportunity data in Salesforce.
  • Lead commercial negotiations regarding contract terms, pricing, and multi-year options.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Deal Desk to ensure timely contract processing.
  • Track and report on key metrics including NRR, churn, and on-time renewal rates.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in renewals, inside sales, account management, or customer success within a SaaS company.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume pipeline and consistently meet quota or renewal targets.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Professional communication skills with experience leading customer-facing conversations.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM.
  • Must be based in Austin, TX and able to work on-site 3 days/week.

Nice to have

  • Experience in technical SaaS, open source, cloud infrastructure, or developer tools.
  • Familiarity with data streaming, Kafka, or AI/ML infrastructure.
  • Exposure to renewal tools like Gong, ChurnZero, or Clari.
  • Startup or pre-IPO experience.
