What you will do

• Design algorithms and implement software to solve multi-disciplinary problems in fleet management and optimization.
• Make informed tradeoffs in system design considering real-world operational realities.
• Instrument systems and analyze data to troubleshoot issues and identify performance opportunities.
• Build, evolve, and operate mission-critical tools and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with operations, product, UX, and data science teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of direct coding experience, with a preference for backend or infrastructure roles.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Must be able to work onsite in Mountain View or San Francisco, California.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing algorithms for multidimensional systems.
• Practical knowledge in dynamics, optimization, control theory, or operations research.
• Familiarity with Google infrastructure such as Flume, Borg, or Protocol Buffers.
• Experience with operations tooling or developer productivity tools.
