What you will do

• Underwrite and grow the Financial Institutions book of business profitably within the assigned region.
• Develop and expand relationships with brokers and customers to consolidate the company's market footprint.
• Assess risks, coverage, terms, and conditions for large and midsize projects, focusing on liability.
• Collaborate with the Madrid team and the Liability department to ensure portfolio profitability.
• Develop underwriting strategies, guidelines, standards, and new product offerings.
• Represent the company in regular broker and client meetings, including travel as required.

Requirements

• Legal right to live and work in Spain is mandatory.
• Proven experience in an underwriting function with a strong understanding of the regional insurance market.
• Fluency in Spanish and a good level of written and spoken English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick, profitable underwriting decisions.
• Proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Portuguese and/or Italian.
